PacificCaptains – Professional Captain Services

Captains Mike Castle and Verena Kellner take pride in being safety-conscious mariners and keeping your vessel ship shape. We care for each boat as if it were our own.

We are both professional, 100-ton US Coast Guard licensed captains (masters with towing and sailing endorsements), with years of experience cruising on our personal boats. When we are not boating for fun, we are working on the water as hydrographers (seafloor mapping). Over the past 20 years, we’ve each logged well over 5,000 miles per year on research vessels ranging from 35 to 115 feet. We have worked and cruised in places ranging from the Bering Sea to the Florida Keys, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes, from the Inside Passage to the Panama Canal, and from Northern Europe to the Mediterranean, including Atlantic and Pacific crossings.

Boats that we prefer to deliver are in favored cruising grounds. We offer our services because cruising is what we enjoy doing.
